The Importance Of Mold Testing
A house contaminated with toxic mold can cause serious hardships: physical, emotional and financial. Our expert home inspectors are always on the lookout for suspect fungal growth. We may charge a bit more, but that’s because we know and do a lot more. The common indoor molds are Cladosporium, Aspergillus, Fusarium, Penicillium, and Alternaria, but other, more toxic molds such as Stachybotrys (black mold), also exist. Its spores produce mycotoxins, airborne substances toxic to humans if inhaled, eaten or even touched. If present, our inspectors will find them via thorough visual inspections along with environmental samplings in which air samples are obtained, both indoors and outdoors, using scientifically calibrated equipment and filters. These air samples are analyzed by an AIHA accredited microbiological lab, and the test results are included in your personalized inspection results.
